Fall Break Camp 2024

GENERAL PURPOSE: The Fall Break Day Camp Program strives to provide a quality day camp environment for campers ages 5 - 12. Through providing social, educational, and recreational activities, campers are able to experience a well-rounded program. Activities include: arts & crafts, games, special programs and other creative means of expression and recreation.

HOURS OF OPERATION: The Fall Break Day Camp Program will begin Monday, October 7th – Friday, October 11th. A counselor will be on duty from 7:30am until 5:30pm. The hours of operation are as follows:
 7:30am - 5:00pm

PAYMENT: The cost of camp is $65. Payment is due at the time of registration. This fee will be paid in the office. We will not accept payment on a per day basis. Please make checks payable to Butts County.

ATTIRE: Campers should wear tennis shoes and dress appropriately for the daily activities provided on the schedule. Campers will also need a water bottle to bring to camp daily.

LUNCH & SNACK: Campers will need to bring a sack lunch and drink everyday during camp. The department staff will not leave the facility to get any child lunch.  Snacks will be provided. Vending and drink machines are only allowed during lunch and snack time. Please be advised that the office will not give refunds for any lost money.

MEDICATION: If a child is to receive medication while at camp, the Program Coordinator must have a completed Authorization to Administer Medication form on file. All medication must remain in the original container from the pharmacy.

ACCIDENTS & ILLNESSES: If a child is injured at our facility, a certified staff member will administer first aid. Parents then will be contacted in cases that are serious enough to warrant communication. If a staff member is unable to reach the parent(s), the emergency phone number (which should have been provided by the parent) will be called in an effort to find someone to come for the child. If an emergency occurs and parents/emergency contact person cannot be reached, an ambulance will be called at parent's expense.

SIGN - IN/OUT: A daily attendance log must be kept on all children that attend the program. Parents are asked to walk their child in and sign them in daily. Parents are also required to walk in and sign their children out at the end of the day.

DISCIPLINE: Discipline is a joint effort on the part of the staff and child with the assistance of the parents. Specific rules of behavior are explained each morning.
